of which there was an inordinate amount today, we had some good times.

At Tot Shabbat, David asked to sit on Rose’s lap. Shoshanna shifted her guitar so I could balance them and we all listened to the story about two brothers, Jacob and Essau, who didn’t do so well as kids but got better when they grew up.

At the park, David had his first grin of the day. He got in the play house and cooked woodchips. Rose skipped bars and pretended to be a black widow spider. When I said it was time to go, she gave me no grief.

No one bothered me during David’s nap. I slept.

With a graciousness I did not expect, Rose agreed to let David sit on her bike.

John made a delicious lunch--waffles, and a delicious dinner--Vietnamese soup with meatballs.

David couldn’t hold onto the soap. It kept slipping out of his hands which made them both, in the bathtub together, giggle and snort.

David finally learned to spit, a necessary skill if you insist on eating the soap.
