I thought I was doing really well. Julia and I took the gang to the Children’s Museum this morning. We got there just in time for a little play about Alice in Wonderland which Rose loved. Nobody got lost. Everyone got snack at appropriate times. It was a morning full of yes. Can we look at the fountain? Yes. It’s time to go now. Yes.

When we got home, I passed off to John and got a pretty big block of time. Rose and John went shopping. David napped. I tried to nap and ended up working on a book review.

Then Miriam came over and I took three kids to the glorious train park. The vistas there are just stunning, and the kids did a great job negotiating with all the other kids.

We were driving home and I was congratulating myself on organizing such fun activities when Rose said, “It’s fun being out of school.” beat “But it’s boring.”
