Our first action figure is a major hit. It just looks powerful. All the joints bend. The head turns, the knees squat—good for diaper changing, which David proceeded to do. It has two accoutrements to grab. In its first day it’s already accomplished two important events in the life of an action figure—been fought over, been lost under the bed. (Daddy rescued it.) David has taken to carrying it everywhere he goes; it fits so nicely in his hand. Yes, Rosie the Riveter, with her head scarf and lunch box, is ready to go. If Nancy Pearl, the librarian action figure, is made as well, we definitely are going to need her next.
