David had a bad dream and woke up at 2:00. After that, he would drift off in my arms but refused entry to the crib. So, I suggested he sleep with me, and he was all over that. All was going well, i.e. both of us asleep, until 5:30 when I heard thump "ow!" I raced out of bed (swearing under my breath), picked him up, put him back in bed, and he kept sleeping. A miracle! But I didn't sleep so well after that what with worrying about a repeat. I finally decided to stick my bulky bathrobe next to me and must have drifted off because at 7:15 I heard, thump—David kicking the bathrobe onto the floor. I need John for that northern barrier.
