Every night I have to tell David the exact same story. It involves Curious George meeting a unicorn. I just wrote it all out for posterity, but it bored me so deeply, I couldn't pass it on to you besides it's not my story I want to talk about, it's David's.

We were in the bath a couple nights ago, and he was overtired and losing it. In an effort to keep the whining at bay, I asked if I were the unicorn or George. I got dubbed George. I got out of the tub and started thinking about towels and diapers and David got himself out of the tub and said in a shy shining voice, "Hi George."

I quieted myself, as one should around a unicorn and said, "Hi Unicorn. Can I touch you?"

And he said, "My horn," and touched the top of his head.

I felt the magic.
