I read some parenting advice column about how children should have at least one hour of unstructured outdoor play a day and got all nervous as I am wont to do after I read parenting advice, and then I thought about today.

1 play in Nolan's yard including running in and out of the sprinkler

1 gardening party at school—watering, turning soil, planting

Total outdoor mostly unstructured time: 4.25

I think we are ok.
