6:15 I am lying on the couch under the blue blanket pretending I'll be able to go back to sleep. David races over with a book, lifts the blanket, wiggles in, and lies on top of me, both of us looking up at the book. We read five books this way.

8:15 David is escorting me downstairs. He gives my leg a bear hug.

9:10 I carry him in my arms to the car. He's cold and snuggles in.

9:30 I carry him in my arms to jazzercise. We discuss whether it's raining. It's not.

10:35 When I open the childcare door after jazzercise, he races across the room and launches a hug at me.

10:40 We hold hands walking the parking lot rim.

11:15 He's sitting in the grocery cart and he suddenly reaches up to snuggle. We walk through the aisles his arms wrapped around my neck, my arms around his body, cheek to cheek. It's a little hard to hunt for toilet paper this way but incredibly moving.

12-6 He sits on my lap, he's sideways in my arms, he leans into me as we sit on the couch and read; I tackle him post diaper change and we roll around on the rug.

7:00 He leans back in my arms for bedtime stories. He falls asleep in my arms.
