David had his first night away from home last night. All the visiting relatives were staying at my mom's house. We had dinner together. Then I gave David his bath and put him to bed in Mom's bed, with lots of chairs stacked against the edge since he hasn't mastered the not rolling out of bed thing. Then, at 7:45, John and I left. Later, Rose joined David in bed, and Mom, bless her heart, pulled out a pad and a sleeping bag and slept on the floor. David didn't wake up until 6:40. Then everyone had pancakes and a gay old time.

John and I slept in until 8:50, the latest in over three years. So, we didn't get much time at night, but boy was it nice to sleep, and have a bad dream, and go back and sleep some more.

So far we are done with nursing, cribs, and a parent always present in the morning.
