When we were both English and Women's Studies majors at Swarthmore taking Feminist Interpretation of Scripture with the phenomenal A.J. Levine and the Women's Studies Capstone seminar, I enjoyed your company. We learned from each other. It was good.

When you became a senior writer at Glamour, I bragged to my friends. I pointed out the feminist health features (articles by other Swarthmore grads), how superior your fashion magazine was to all the others.

When you became the editor-in-chief, I reminded myself that fashion and journalism were not my calling. I was a very accomplished community college writing teacher, so fine.

But Saturday, Saturday really got to me when you got to be the guest celebrity on one of my favorite shows Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me. There's no way I'm ever going to be asked questions about mixed martial arts on public radio. I am truly jealous.

John said, "What do you expect going to Swarthmore? A lot of people become famous."

Yes, but most of them are famous in fields where I don't even try to compete—Nobel prize winning scientists, peace activists, another one of my classmates started a liberal arts college in Ghana. But I do aspire to be on Wait Wait, and Cindi, you beat me to it.
