what Rose told us about over dinner

Sharks leave their teeth behind when they bite. Then they grow new ones. Her front tooth hurts when she bites. She thinks she should see the dentist. (John and I think she should get over herself. She's been dying to have a loose tooth for a year now. That's all this is.)

Mammals have one mother and one father. They nurse their young. (John and I chime in with all we know about mammals. David refuses to be a mammal.)

She and E., after making a huge mess with blocks, boxes, and styrafoam peanuts, never did figure out what their play was going to be about. (I've noticed that when E. is involved there is a lot more set design and sound effects; Rose usually just goes for costumes and declaiming.)

She doesn't like the gluten free chocolate chip cookie I bought at the ice cream store down the street. (I don't mind. I don't like the cookie either. However, I'm thrilled that this is the third store within walking distance to offer gluten-free treats, and they are all made by different companies, so we have choices. I'm hoping my neighborhood becomes g-f central.)
