At 5:30 this morning I snuck downstairs to read our home health book.

swollen glands check

yellow pus on swollen tonsils very check

and a sore throat that hurt like hell um check that one upside down and sideways

So, I got myself to the doctor at 8:30 this morning, and the culture came back positive. I'm actually thrilled I have strep because in an hour I will start taking drugs and in 24 hours I will start feeling much better. (I know, I know, one must always take the full course of treatment. I will. I promise.) It's so much more fun to have something curable and in a contained time frame than the sick for weeks thing.

I actually started feeling sick Friday night but the fever didn't hit until Sunday night. I haven't had a fever in so long I didn't know what was going on. And usually I suck on candies when I have a sore throat. This time I had to go for the hardcore yucky numbing stuff.

I'm going to feel better soon!
