Yes, it's hog butchering time in the Little House in the Big Woods. I'm actually quite surprised Rose hasn't asked me for more words recently. She has zoomed through three Wizard of Oz books and two Dr. Doolittles in the last few weeks not to mention Bobbsey Twins, Amelia Bedelia, and the rest of the A to Z mysteries. She's averaging one big book every two days. Her reading level is obviously skyrocketing, but I want to make sure we find her books that match her emotional level. So, Harry Potter is still too scary. Any favorites you'd like to pass along?
