One minute he's sitting on the bathroom floor crying desperately because he's suddenly decided he wants to take a bath with Daddy, not Mommy, the next minute he's still crying and blood is gushing out his nose.

Luckily, his older sister trained us how to handle this--pinch and hold. David was not pleased. We had hard work convincing him that we knew best. The blood stopped pretty fast. I think I only pinched 8 minutes and with Rose it often takes 15-20. But then there was clean up and keeping David from running around and starting it up again. At least we didn't have two gushers at the same time.
