Rose had her first yoga class yesterday. Yippee! Hurrah! It was a big hit. She told us all about bicycling to the zoo to do animal poses (bicycle is a yoga pose as well). The teacher read them a section of Stillwater and had the Stillwater panda right there with her. Stillwater is the gift that keeps giving. Nancy gave it to Rose for her third birthday, and we've have at least three teachers read it to Rose since. I don't know if Zen is just very big in Seattle, or if it really is that wonderful a book. I like it; I don't adore it. Rose found yoga both relaxing and exhilarating. What more can you ask for? Since yoga is sponsored by the PTA and meets right after school, I liked to the no transition, no drop off factor. I don't want her to have to drop dance class, but I also don't want after school activities three days a week (swimming being the third). Much to consider.
