How can I explain? Jugglers! Contortionists! Aerialists! Bad jokes and silly songs! It has a couple venues, but we saw it in a brewery warehouse. The seats are incredibly uncomfortable folding chairs, but the atmosphere is just perfect for this close up clowning. The kids could sit on a rug up front. The place sold cheap beer and popcorn. And the whole thing had the feeling of good friends putting on a show in a barn. The performance was just at the right level for me, professional enough that I was really impressed by their skills and acting, but not so perfect that it didn't feel real. Jugglers occasionally dropped pins. The three year old girl on the trapeze looked a little nervous. Her daddy was right there. The whole audience just got in the spirit. It was two hours and David got a little bored by the end, but both kids now want to run away and join the circus. P.S. They also feature burlesque shows in the evening. Stay tuned for next year's report. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
