David's new favorite song. Yup. Big Legged Women by Taj Mahal. It's a great song. I love this song. But it's not coded enough. David doesn't know what hooters are or even that "big legged" is code for large rear end. But Taj Mahal straight out says, "Big Butt Berthas are back in style again."

"Butt! Butt! He said Butt!" Every other word out of David's mouth these days is "Butt!"

And even more of a problem, Taj Mahal introduces the song with this line from Baby Got Back (a rap song): "I like big butts and I cannot lie." David will randomly shout that out walking down the street. I tell him it's inappropriate and that he can say potty talk in the bathroom, but I know if I come down too hard on it, he'll understand it has power, and use it.

A year ago, David called his favorite song "Whiff on me." He had no idea the real title was "Cocaine Habit." All the lines like "If you don't believe cocaine is good, ask Karl Rove and Elijah Wood" just flowed on over him. I guess we got complacent. He understands a little too much now to be listening to R rated or even PG rated lyrics.

Luckily, he still loves Five Little Pumpkins.
