I don't know if I got it from Rose, on the airplane, or all the other random ways viruses get passed around, but I am sick. As illnesses go, it's not the end of the world. I have a fever and the malaise, head-ache, slight nausea, and chills that go with it, but I don't have anything else.

David has been giving me long looks and big hugs.

Rose made herself second breakfast.

John made all the breakfasts, lunches, scraped the ice off my car, and moved a meeting so he could come home early and do the parenting all afternoon. And, of course, Mary Pope Osborne has been reading to the children all day.

I feel very well taken care of.
