I know my dad is safe as of two minutes ago because I called and finally got through on the landline. The cell phone and internet services were stopped by the government days ago. My Dad: Hello, hello? Me: Dad! Hello! Can you hear me? Dad: I'm hanging up now because I can't hear you. Then I called back and shouted from downstairs. Same thing. I felt like a stalker. First, it's only 8:00 in the morning there, so I could have woken him up. Second, the phone ringing and dead air is just very creepy, and it was my fault. People are getting through to them and relaying messages to us. They have enough food to last a week. They are staying home. But I certainly wouldn't want to be living under basically house arrest in the middle of a revolution. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
