We sled down the city streets. I baked banana chocolate chip muffins. John read to the kids. Rose read to David. We slid some more. I went to the library and got four books on c.d. The kids wore wonderful protective gear--David his new coat; Rose her pink fur stole. There was transition misery as we came in from sledding but no huge fights. We smiled and laughed with our neighbors.
