I have become a big Gerald and Piggie fan. These are a series of easy readers by Mo Willams. They have big fonts and repeat sentences. You have a bird on your head. I have a bird on my head? They are really funny and you can just see the emotion's on the character's faces. I am crazy excited that not only can David read them to himself, but he wants to. He just checked three of them out of the school library and had read/understood 80% of the words without anyone helping him. We are chugging along that reading train.
