It didn't rain. This is rather significant because we went on this hike Friday. Hey Seattlites, remember Friday? There was a huge thunderstorm. While I was driving down I-90, the rain got so fast and thick that the windshield wipers could not keep up. It was the closest to a white out situation I've ever been in. I could not see the lane lines and could vaguely make out the red lights of the truck ahead of me. Glad that's over. But when we got to the trailhead, it was sunny and warm. I was half an hour late for meeting people at the trailhead, Luckily only one other family joined us, and they drove up behind us. I always forget it takes half an hour to pack the car. So, even though I worked like crazy the night before to have everything ready, I lost that advantage in the morning. The hike was glorious as always. The trail is so well groomed I feel like I'm cheating. Thank you Washington Trails Association. There is the logs-across-the-water-as-bridge which is a bit nerve wracking, but no one fell in. The kids changed into their suits and enjoyed making damns and dipping their feet in the water. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
