School actually restarted last Wednesday, but I think I was waiting to report until things had calmed down a bit. Not that it went horribly, but transitions at our house, well they aren't our forte.

David has no problem with me dropping him off and not waiting for the bell to ring. Whoohoo! That's an extra 15 minutes in my day.

Rose asked me to help her with long division and then decided she would just mark the problem with a question.

David pointed out that a friend of his could read chapter books now. I can't tell how he feels about this. I'm hoping he feels like he will get there at his own pace.

Rose keeps running out of books, and we have gone to the library three times this week.

David told us they had a secret meeting with just the first graders (in his K/1) class, and they are going to teach the k's how to clean the room.

Rose is excited about getting back to cello even though she rarely practiced last year.

The weather has been gorgeous, and we all stay after school and play for 45 minutes.
