David has strep. That's actually the good news. He's been sick with a fever, sore throat, hurting tummy for 2.5 days now, and we are very grateful to discover that he has an illness that can be cured.

Everyone is so focused on the flu that it took us a few days to start thinking in other directions. John gets credit for figuring it out. John gets lots of credit, in fact. I must have read a couple hours worth of Star Wars novels. He doubled that. He also did the night shifts and was generally the front lines. Rose is quite jealous that David is getting so much attention, getting to watch so much t.v., and may get to eat lots of popsicles. The real problem is she needs a new book to read. (David is reading over my shoulder and announced he needs a new book to read too. Did I mention that David was READING over my shoulder.) I'm going to the library soon to solve everyone's problems.
