I still cough. I still hack and sniffle and snort and blow my nose a lot. I'm still sick, but I seem to be in the long slow gonna be like this for awhile stage. The good news is I have a lot more energy. In the last week, I've gone to jazzercise, blues dancing, lindy dancing, and lifted weights. The weight lifting was embarrassingly eye opening. It was hard.

I also am back parenting. David said to me, are you parenting now? I said, well I made your lunch, harassed you to get dressed, walked you to school, brought you a snack, stood on the playground for half an hour in the cold while you played, took you to the library, and gently reminded you to set the table. Yup, I'm back.

I've also been helping Rose a lot with her homework. She's writing a three chapter book about chocolate, and I keep encouraging her to include the parts about the Aztecs making their human sacrifices drink bloody chocolate to "forget" what was about to happen to them. She's not allowed to use Wikipedia as a source, but I set her up with the Hershey site for her history of Hershey chapter. We did not discuss bias. I just want the project done.

I taught three classes, cooked cauliflower, tutored three hours, and actually wrote some poetry. I'm back.
