David (wailing): I didn't do my homework. If I bring the math book back to school she'll see how little I've done, and if I don't bring it back, she'll get mad at me.
Debby: I don't care if you do any homework. If your teacher has forgotten, we don't have to do homework in our house, I'll write her a note.
David: I don't want you to write her a note.
Debby: Well, you could do the homework in the morning.
David: I don't want to do the homework!
Debby: How do you want to solve this problem?
David: Do nothing.
