We got Rose's hair trimmed today. It's probably been a couple years since we last had this fight. She wants to grow it long, but I don't think it's going to grow much longer; it's just going to get shaggy. I finally convinced her to get a trim because she's in a big dance performance next week and even she could admit how crazy it looked when she took it from her normal low ponytail and put in the dance required high pony. What we learned at the haircutters was she wasn't just suffering from split ends but from naturally curly hair. Not that there's anything wrong with that. The hairdresser suggested leave-in conditioner and some product could cure all that ailed her if we so desired. Rose doesn't really desire, and I'm thrilled treating her hair isn't at the top of her priority list.
