Rose was hanging out in my room and couldn't decide whether she should stay home or go to a friend's house. Of course, I had to play her "Should I Stay or Should I Go" by The Clash which lead to the Kinks "You Really Got Me," Van Halen's "You Really Got Me," and The Ramones "I Want to be Sedated." Rose asked why they were all boys, and I explained the industry was totally sexist, and then I played her "I Love Rock and Roll" by Pat Benatar. I had a great time bouncing like a pogo stick, head banging, and generally leaping around the bedroom. Rose was not impressed.
