I truly don't remember what David said at this point, but he clearly showed his guilt even if the answer was no. Debby (after moving some cushions around): Could this huge hammer have something to do with it? David: Yes. Debby: John, do you still have the fixing holes in the wall stuff? David needs to fix this hole. David: I was listening to my story, and I didn't have anything to do, so I had to. Debby: That type of comment makes me mad. All I want to hear is: It's my fault. I'm sorry. I won't do it again. David: I'm sorry. I won't do it again. David: What does brownnose mean? Debby (dying to go into a long etymological graphic explanation): It means someone who gives a teacher or parent lots of fake compliments to get on their good side. David (reading from his book in a sing song voice): Like "Oh, Ms. Suki your dress is pretty." Debby: Exactly. David: But that's not the same when I say "I love you." That's real. Debby: Oh, I know honey. I know you love me for real. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
