For years, David has been bringing home treasures. Our coffee table is constantly festooned with small rocks, pieces of driftwood that can double as guns or slingshots, broken parking lot reflectors, necklace chains, pennies, dimes, and today, 70.00 in cash.

Yeah, I made David run around the block, and he found 70.00.

And he immediately did the right thing. He brought it home and explained what had happened. We told the neighborhood coffee shop and posted it obliquely to our neighborhood blog. If no one claims it, David will have two minutes of his college education paid for. Actually, we'll probably have him take the family out for ice cream.
