Rose is starting to flap her wings just a tiny bit. She, Jasper, and Amelia decided they wanted to go see Maleficent . . by themselves. They researched where it was playing (The Crest, which is the discount theater), what time, and the three bus route to get there. We had told Rose that she had our permission to travel anywhere she wanted, but I didn't really think she'd do it.

In the end, one of the other moms wanted to see a movie at the same theater, so she drove the girls both ways. But, they paid for their own movie and their own popcorn and went to a movie without any grown-ups. All firsts.

Then, they slept on our livingroom floor, made pancakes, and made chocolate mints candy's from Rose's kit. Most of the dishes even got done.

It's a change, but not a bad change.
