Mom and I dumped the white couch. It was a momentous occasion. For my facebook followers, I am including a photo of the kids objecting to the loss. Note the slumping seat cushions, the stains, the ground-in dirt. Rose wrote a poem in honor of the white couch. We commemorated it with photos. Heck, we kept all the cushions. But the couch is gone, and I don't miss it one bit.

As Sally said, we are getting our grown-up furniture. Two lovely blue chairs have arrived. We put the cherry credenza in yesterday, and a rug is coming Wednesday. And eventually we will have a new blue couch.
