She loved the regular camp stuff like the challenge course, swimming in Puget Sound, tie dye, but this year she also talked about the deep conversations with her counselor and cabin mates. Hello, my teenager.
She also loves that the Gluten Intolerance Group supports that week. They are incredibly nice, constantly offering the kids scones and donut holes. It's a full week of yes, as opposed to you can't have this. She got to see Mooselips get a special acknowledgement and ceremony--37 years driving the boat to camp? He drove me, and he still always greets me with a big hug and we sing "I want to be strong, to be strong as the land around me" together. In between teaching me new songs, Rose said, "Camp Sealth is just so beautiful." Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
