For those not in the newsroom...or those in the newsroom wearing earplugs (and sadly I'm not kidding; those folks do exist) I've got an interview with the Washington Post foreign editors tomorrow in the AM, about potentially stringing for the Post while in Venezuela.

I debated posting this, because lord knows I don't want to jinx myself by sharing the news with you bastards out in cyberspace. But at the same time I could use the good vibes, etc. Basically, I need all the help I can get.

A couple of things need to happen for this to have a happy ending: First, I need to impress the foreign editorial staff at the Washington Post.

Second, if that works I need to check with the bureau chief at the AP - who's had his hands full the last week - and confirm they'd be kosher with this idea. And yes, I would play up that I'm just a lowly non-paid intern, and the Post'll have somebody stringing down there anyways so why not me.

Anyways...think good thoughts. Unless you hate me, in which case...this is your chance for payback.
