I am in the middle of a housing pesadilla. ... For you folks playing along at home, pesadilla means "fucking NIGHTMARE" in Spanish.

It's too long and complicated...and just generally awful to get into, plus I'm about to head out of here and ensure that my valuables - ie laptop/camera/ipod etc are all OK.

But all is NOT well in the state of Venezuela. I just thought I'd share.

Especially after having waited in aeropuerto Simon Bolivar for three fucking hours last night with my taxista, jetlagged and fading in and out of sleep at the bar while watching the Red Sox lose, to finally claim my luggage.

Just know that I hate all you fuckers tucked safely and snugly in your comfy stability, not having to worry about getting mugged on the way home in a strange country. 'Not jealous at all. Bastards.

Who knows...maybe one of these days I'll even do some reporting down here. Christ.
