2005-07-11 4:37 PM Request (by me) Way back when I started this adventure, I intended to go to Australia while I was on this side of the Pacific. It being way cheaper to cross the Tasman Sea than the Pacific. With only about 5 weeks remaining until I return to the States, my plans remain vague, but for different reasons. I'm not sure what exactly I wanted to see in Australia, especially during a long weekend/few weeks of winter. It is still way cheaper to cross the Tasman than the Pacific, but my budget for such things has been drastically mauled by a few whims. Including lessons in Chinese traditional painting, which culminated in my being able to paint bamboo, and possibly rocks. But, hey, it's a skill I'll keep forever, right? Let's see if it's actually useful. Would anyone like to help me wring the most out of this adventure, by making a donation to the cause? I will be delighted to create for you a commemorative painting of bamboo, in the traditional Chinese style. This is also the time for any last requests for New Zealand souvenir products. Examples include merino wool, sometimes blended with possum; brilliant paua [abalone] shells and crafts; handcrafted native wood; carved bone; woven flax pouches, placemats, etc. I will be happy to find and transport these items, but the cash will have to come from you. (If you want flax things, I can make a few of those now, too :-)) The easiest thing for me would be to receive direct transfers to my US bank account, details of which I'll be happy to provide on request. Alternatives will be considered if necessary. Love, Erica Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
