With some trepidation, I've decided to start a political blog. This is partly so I can avoid bothering my friends when something irritates me, and partly so I can put down my thoughts on what is going on. For the moment, I've decided to leave comments enabled on this, but I don't know if I'll keep it that way. I have neither the time nor the inclination to turn this into a debating group on politics. There are plenty of newsgroups where people can do that.
