Paulaner’s Salvator Double Bock is pretty damn good. Dark amber color, bready, sweet, very sweet, strong alcohol presence. This is kinda like eating a strange sandwich; they say Bocks are made when the brewers scrape the gunk out of their fermentation pots. You have to take it on faith that this weird grape bubble gum and banana sandwich on rye is good for you. You won’t be disappointed if you do though.
Fuller’s Extra Special Bitter has a very subtle bitterness to it. I’ve had ESBs before that were just what you’d expect like in those old commercials; bitter beer face. This is bitter but it’s kindof like at the back of the throat, this is very crisp and clean. Even better as it warms up. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
