Back From The Hospital

Mood:
Drugged

Well, I recently got back from the hospital and I'm still kind of out of it. My aunt Jeane drove me there and back cause I wasn't supposed to drive after the tests. When Jeane and I got there we met up with Rob. Luckily the tests were being done at the hospital where my fiance works. We all grabbed a drink in the cafeteria so that Rob and Jeane could meet and then it was off to neurology for me.

My first test was an EEG. They stuck funky goo all in my hair and attached electrodes to it. It got a reading of my brain waves. I just had to lay there with my eyes closed. Not a big. But once I log off I'm going to hop into the shower. My hair is all greasy because of the goo.

After the EEG came the MRI. This is not something I recommend. *shudders* My head was strapped down to the table, put inside a cage, and my entire body was shoved into a tiny little tube. I'm very clausterphobic and was about a moment away from losing it. The only thing that helped me stay calm was a tube the doc gave me that had air blowing out of it. I aimed it at my face and convinced myself that it was air from the vents on the ceiling and that I wasn't really trapped. I also kept my eyes shut the entire time. They injected some dye into the back of my hand via an IV about halfway through. Made me kind of loopy and tonight I'll be peeing in technicolor. The MRI took about an hour. Way too long for me.

I'm at home now and I don't know what the results are. They said that my doctor would look them over and send something to me in the mail. So, when I know what they are I'll post something on here. I'm going to go and take the cotton ball that's taped to the back of my hand off and wash this nasty stuff out of my hair.
