2002-02-15 9:03 AM Valentine's Day Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Happy Well, Valentine's Day has come and gone. I spent the vast majority of my life having no one on V-Day (25 years). My first real relationship where I actually fell in love didn't come until I was 26. So as you're reading this, don't feel like you're going to puke, cause I deserve a happy ending. I mean, think about it, how many of you were virgins until the age of 26?
My day started off with a call from my neurologist. The EEG and MRI were both normal. The reason for my body going numb was because I have an odd type of migrane. Apparently they're so bad that the blood vessels push on a part of my brain which makes my body mimic the symptoms of having a stroke. And while it's incredibly annoying, it's nothing life threatening. Around 9:30am Rob and I headed down to Disneyland. I love that place. Especially yesterday. The lines were non-existant. I think the longest we waited was around 20 minutes for the Indiana Jones ride. When we got there we headed straight for the Indiana Jones ride. Then we grabbed some lunch at a burger stand. While having lunch we ran into some old friends (Ree and Joe) who I haven't seen since my gaming days. Said hi to them, talked for a little bit, and then headed to Pirates of the Carribean. My second favorite ride. After Pirates we stopped by the Blue Bayou to make dinner reservations and were disappointed to find out that they were closing at 3:30. How lame is that? It's Valentine's Day and the one neat place to have a romantic dinner at the park is closed at night. We then headed to the Haunted Mansion. My favorite ride. After that we hit Big Thunder Mountain, Pinnochio, Snow White, (Peter Pan and Mr. Toad were closed *pout*), and the Tea Cups. Had to take a bit of a break after the Tea Cups. I guess Rob and I are getting old cause, wow, we spun that thing insanely fast and both got so dizzy and felt so sick afterwards. After a breather we went on Alice in Wonderland, Small World, Roger Rabbit, The Matterhorn, and Space Mountain. I also was able to drag Rob into the Honey I Shrunk the Audience show. We then did Pirates and the Haunted Mansion once more before we left the park. On the way out of the park Rob bought me a purple Mickey head shaped balloon and a rose. I swear, I have the sweetest fiance in the world. I'm so lucky to have found a guy like Rob. We got to the park around 11:00am and left around 7:00 at night. Before leaving the area we did a quick pass through the Downtown Disney area. Looks really neat. Both of us would like to go back there again sometime. On the way back to our place we stopped off at his work. He needed to pick something up from his office that came in the mail today. My engagement ring. Oh my God, it's gorgeous. Absolutely brilliant and pretty damn big. It's a round cut diamond with baguttes next to it and is set in white gold. I literally cried when he put it on my finger. Makes all of this seem so real now. I can't believe I'm actually going to be marrying Rob. Wow. I'm so jazzed. Now we have to find a place to have the wedding at. Looks like I'm going to have my work cut out for me. Planning for a wedding and doing the law school thing is going to be tough, but both are going to be so worth it. My only question now is if I should end up being Jennifer Bollinger-Rossel, or if I should drop my last name and go for Jennifer Rossel. Thoughts? Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
