Squirrels

Mood:
Amused

Okay, so awhile ago Rob and I put a block of bird seed out on our balcony. Birds came to feed off of it, the cats were entertained, and all was well. On Saturday we caught a squirrel on our balcony eating away at the block. Squirrels are cute and Sydney and Amber were still entertained so we thought it wasn't a big deal.

Then today I look out and the squirrel is back on the balcony. Holding what's left of the food block in his mouth and making a run for it. Little bugger stole the rest of the food.

Then, a few hours later, he comes back for more. However, much to his dismay all that's left are the cracked open shells he left behind. He gets mad. Have you ever seen a squirrel mad? It's kinda funny.

He starts running around and chittering. All the while the cats are wishing they could get him and eat him. He bangs on the windows like a little fluffy tailed monkey and the cats buck at him. Then all of a sudden he stops and notices Amber. he makes his way over to where she is sitting. Only a pane of glass in between them. And starts eyeing her and licking his lips. Now I'm worried. The squirrel wants to eat Amber. *shudders* Bad carnivorous squirrel!

Alas, I'm not too worried. Amber could take him. She's kind of pudgy and is now called Dumpling. She'd prolly eat him and become even more of a dumpling. On the other hand, the squirrel is bigger than Sydney (what isn't?). *sighs* I can just see it now. The squirrel eats Sydney, Amber eats the squirrel, and Amber becomes a skateboard cat.
