2002-03-27 9:10 AM AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Psychotic Okay, so this morning was hell. I hopped on the 101 freeway to head to school and traffic sucked ass. I thought it was the usual bad rush hour traffic, how I wish it was only that. After traffic being snarled as usual it stopped. Dead. I was able to turn off my car for 15 minutes because of the lack of being able to go anywhere. It took me over an hour to get what would normally take 5-10 minutes. By the time I got to the Topanga Canyon exit there was a sign saying that it would take 3-5 hours to get to my exit for school. I turned on the news and found out that right before where I exit a tanker truck had a really bad accident at 11pm last night and they were still doing the clean up for it. Only the two right lanes were closed, but traffic was about as bad as it gets. So after 15 minutes of trying to get from the far left lane to the exit lane, (I hate LA drivers who never let you change lanes, they need to be ass-humped by monkeys) I hopped off the freeway and onto Topanga Canyon. Took that to PCH and got to school that way. 3-5 hours my ass. Not only would I not be able to find any parking here, but I would be missing class.
My usual morning drive takes about 40 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. Today it took me 2 hours and 15 minutes. And when I got to the law school parking lot it was almost full. Except for one teeny little compact spot. I barely fit in there. I feel bad about squeezing an SUV into a spot like that, but I really had no choice. It was either that or cut my losses and go home cause there was no parking. And after a drive like that I was bound and determined to go to class and make that hell commute worth it. So, I'm at school again and going psychotic. What a lovely start to my day. I can only hope it gets better from here. But you never know, I'm close to being called on in Labor Law so it's possible that it will all be down hill from here. Let's hope that the worst of this day is done with.
