Love, Law School, & Squirrels

Mood:
Content

Recently I've gotten to thinking. About my life. And I've realized that for the first time (in a long time) I am perfectly content with where I am.

My love life is actually going along rather well. Which is surprising considering the fact that I had always thought that I would end up an old spinster with 20+ cats. I'm in love and will be married in less than a year to the man of my dreams. Every time I even look at Rob I am amazed. I'm amazed that he fell in love with me. I mean, he's perfect (at least by my standards). On the physical level, he's probably a 9 or 9.5. Very hot. But even beyond that he's very intelligent, driven, sweet, kind hearted, and has a wicked sense of humor. If I were going to play Dr. Frankenfurter and make myself a man I couldn't have done a better job. It surprises me that a man like this actually fell for me. I mean, I do have brains, I'll admit that. But in the looks department I'm decidedly less than average. And very overweight.

And then I look at my "career" (aka school). I'm happy with that as well. Law school is a ton of work and stresses me out to no end, but no matter how much I complain about it, I do love it. It interests me and I could see myself loving a career in it (if anyone will actually hire me - still haven't found anything for this summer - looks like I'm screwed there). If I didn't love it I would have dropped out. There is no way anyone can put themselves through something like law school and survive it unless they love it.

So for once in my life I am content. My lot in life is good.

On another note, Tweak is back. For those of you who don't know who Tweak is, he's a squirrel. Rob and I put birdseed out on the balcony so that the cats will have something to entertain them while we're away during the day. However, the birds never get around to getting any of the food. That's because Tweak comes along on a daily basis and eats it all. It still amuses Sydney and Amber so we keep putting the bird food out there. Tweak got his name because when there isn't any food out there he tweaks like a drug addict in need of a fix. Tweak the bird seed junkie squirrel. Oh yeah.
