Very Bad Girl

Mood:
Tired

I spent most of today reading for my class tomorrow and doing the laundry. I stopped this evening when Rob got home and we went shopping for a bit, but I still have more reading left to do.

Rob's currently asleep in bed and I snuck out of the bedroom to try and finish my reading. My brain wanted to shut down on me so I thought I would allow myself some time off to post on here before I try and get more reading done. Ugh, that break really wasn't long enough.

We went to the local mall in Sherman Oaks this evening. Stopped at a store called Hold Everything because I wanted to get some panty organizers for my dresser drawer (or as Rob would call it, my dresser "draw" - funky New Yorkers). They had ones for bras, socks, and man's boxers, but none for a woman's panties. So I got the sock ones. They're too small for my panties so I'll either use them to organize my socks (wow, that sounds so anal) or return them and get the ones for the guy undies and see if those work for my panties.

We grabbed dinner in the mall food court at a kabob place. Got a chicken and beef kabob combo. The chicken one was really good. The beef one smelled funky and tasted like ass. It also looked like it came out of someone's ass. I decided it needed to live in a nearby garbage can. It seemed like it would be happier there.

We then headed to Lane Bryant. I wanted to try some things on for fun. I then became a bad girl and bought two things. One was an undershirt, which was fine for me to buy cause I use them everyday and go through them pretty quickly. The other was a really cool looking leopard spotted shirt. It looked good on me and I got it. I'm so bad.

Then we headed to Sephora. A quick trip this time. Got some lip gloss (hi, my name is Jennifer and I'm a lip gloss addict) that looks really cool and Rob only managed to tease me a little about it. Also grabbed a make up bag at Victoria's Secret cause I now /really/ need somewhere to put all of this gloss. I am such a shop-a-holic. I either need a 12 step program or a really high paying job once I graduate from law school.

On that note, if anyone who reads this thing has any connections with a law firm called Kirkland and Ellis, please let me know. I would sell my soul to work for them. They have a White Collar Crime division (which is the area of Criminal Defense I would love to work in) and they're THE firm that I've wanted to work for ever since I became interested in law. Even before I started law school I thought my dream job would be working at Kirkland and Ellis (preferably in the White Collar Crime division) or for Latham and Watkins (in the Environmental division). After doing the law school thing for over two years now I would do anything to work in Criminal Defense, but I really want to do it for a private practice. Ah, what a dream I have there, eh? I don't even have a summer job and I probably won't have any job offers upon graduation and I'm wishing to go to work for one of the coolest firms in the nation. Yeah, right, dream on Jen.

Anyway, back on topic. That's all the shopping I did at the mall. When Rob and I got back home he did some stuff on the computer and I tried to work on my schedule for the Fall 2002 semester since I have to register in less than a week. That was so depressing. There's only one class (Sentencing and Corrections) that I really want to take. All the others seem lame. And I need to come up with 12 units worth of classes. Blah. Pepperdine really needs to offer some more Criminal Law classes, or maybe something having to do with animal rights, or /something/ interesting.

So, this has gotten really long winded and seemed to go off on a few tangents. Whatever. It felt nice to take a break for awhile. It's now after 2:00am so I think I'll be logging off and heading back to the books.
