Mexican Diseased Cola

Well, Rob has to be back at jury duty on Monday. One of the cases he had to go to didn't finish the juror selection so there's a good chance he might be on a jury. Let's just hope it's a pretty short case. I think they told him that it would only be a few days, but when I was a juror they told me it would be 4 days maximum and it ended up being about three weeks.

I went to the Promenade in Santa Monica with Berek yesterday late afternoon. Rob had to go to work after jury duty and he ended up meeting us there later on at night. We walked around the Promenade and then headed out to the Pig (a really cool coffee house in Hollywood that I've been going to for the last 9 years). Rob got a bottle of coke. Cute glass bottle, but he said it tasted funny. I noticed that it was bottled in Mexico. Berek took a sip and said he thought the funky taste was the water. They then proceeded to torture me with their "Mexican Diseased Cola". They're probably carrying the plague or diseased or something from it and they kept trying to get me to take a sip. Uh-uh. I don't think so. Besides, when my Mom had a salad washed in Mexican water when she was there on vacation she ended up getting very sick, nearly dying, having her eyes swell shut, and growing a horn on her head. Not cool. No Diseased Mexican Cola for me, thank you.

We got home pretty late last night and decided to sleep in this morning. It felt very good. Besides, the only thing we have planned to do today is to go to an evening baseball game (Dodgers vs. Angels) with Berek. Not my cup of tea. I hate baseball. But Rob loves it, Berek had two extra tickets, and they've promised to keep me in all the beer and hot dogs I can take.
