I tried to go to bed at a reasonable time last night. And I did. Unfortunately I had another bout of insomnia. So I actually only got about an hour of sleep cause I had to get up at 7:30am. Rob and I were meeting up with some of our bridal party for dim sum. It ended up being Rob, myself, Lisa, Mindy, Berek, and Al. None of Rob's relatives could make it cause Donna and Ellen are on the opposite coast. John is in another country in the Navy. And Chris kind of ended up flaking on us. He never called Rob back to let us know if he was coming or not.

Everyone met at our apartment around 9:00am. We headed over to Chinatown around 9:30. Berek and Mindy took Berek's car. I took Rob, Lisa, and Al. I didn't even make it down the block. Got into a bit of a car accident. Someone stuck a dumpster in the road right where I turn out of my apartment's driveway. There's a bit of a blind spot there because of some untrimmed bushes. And I drove right into the dumpster. Banged it up a bit and sent it rolling down the street. After hitting it I freaked. I kind of expected my car to need some body work (thought at least the headlight would be gone and the front would be smashed up pretty bad) and was very nervous when I got out to look at the damage. Wow. SUV's kick ass. My bumper had some paint on it from the dumpster (which came off later on). The only damage is that some of the paint is chipped off the bumper and it's bent and dinged in a few places. That's it. Lexus Luthor fought a dumpster and won! Damn, color me impressed with SUV's. Doing that in my old Mustang probably would have crumpled the front. Doing that in my old Sunfire probably would have blown up the car. Sunfires are very unsafe little things.

So, we finally made it over to dim sum and things were all uphill from there. We had a blast. It was nice for all who came along to be able to meet up. I had fun and I think (and hope) that the others did as well.

After dim sum Berek headed out to the Dodgers game and I piled everyone else in my car (SUV's are also nice cause you can fit 5 people into one) and headed back to my place. We all just hung out and talked and eventually parted ways around 2pm. Rob and I had been planning on going to a linens store or maybe a movie, but we were both utterly exhausted.

So Rob and I decided to take a little nap. That little nap ended up lasting until after 8pm. But we were happy to get some sleep. We ended up staying in tonight and ordering a pizza and watching a video.

Well, I should probably go back to bed pretty soon. I have to get up early again tomorrow to take Amber to the vet. Ah, fuck it. PS2 calls...
