2002-07-21 5:48 PM E-Coli and Magic Frogs Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Content So, I thought I'd post an update on my weekend. I really don't know if any of you read this thing anymore or not, but I've realized this is more for me anyway. It's just nice to be writing again. And I'm much better at typing on here than I have ever been at handwriting a real journal.
So - Friday was nasty. The burger I had eaten for dinner the night before made me sick. Like fever, dizzy, and blood coming out of my ass sick. I called my Doc and he told me that chances are it was e-coli. Oh. Fun. Most people would go on some antibiotics and be done with it, but I was not so lucky. I'm allergic to many of the antibiotics out there and there are about one or two that actually work for me without killing me. So my doc usually waits to give me an RX for them because if I develop any immunities to them I'll be screwed. So I was told to wait it out and call back if I wasn't feeling better on Monday. So, due to intense cramping pains and shooting blood out my ass, Rob and I decided to spend the night at home. We watched his video of "Men In Black" because I had never seen the whole thing before. Very cool movie. By Saturday I was feeling a bit better so we decided to head out for the night. Berek, Rob, and I went to the Downtown Disney area. I had seen it briefly after going to Disneyland on Valentine's Day, but had never had the time to really check it out before. We checked out the shops and had dinner at an insanely overpriced burger joint / bar. I ended up getting a little rubber froggie which decided to speak to me when I was drunk. Therefore, this rubber froggie shall always be known as Magic, the Magic Frog. He told me that was his name. Wow, I had two drinks called "purple haze". They were mighty strong. I can hold alcohol better than most people can, but those nailed me. Might have also been because I didn't have much to eat before I started sucking one down. We ended up heading to the movie theatre there (which is actually where my rubber froggie decided to talk to me - but I'd really like to forget about that) and saw "Men In Black 2". I really liked it, but then again I was wasted for the first half of it. So, I'm feeling a lot better today, but I don't think I'll be going out anywhere. Rob and I are in the process of cleaning the apartment from top to bottom cause my Dad's stopping by for a few hours on Tuesday. And he's very anal about having things clean. On the "ew" side of things, Rob found out why I keep seeing baby spiders around here. We had a nest hatch in the kitchen. *whimpers* Why does this keep happening to me?
