2002-08-11 2:13 AM BED-room Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Stunned So, the bed came today. The frame (dark wood sleigh bed) was delivered around 2pm and the mattress and box spring were delivered around 6pm. Which means that Rob and I spent the day at home waiting for these deliveries to arrive. He spent most of the day playing a wrestling game on our PS2 and I spent most of the day sleeping on the sofa. I was still exhausted from yesterday.
Okay, the bed is a King. Not a Cal King (thank God), but a regular King. What you California folk call an "Eastern King". Weirdos. I thought we should have gotten a Queen, but my Mom wanted us to go with a King since Rob and I will probably have this bed for a very long time. Wow. I mean, wow. It's big. About 3/4 of the size of our bedroom. It's HUGE. Monsterous. I'm not kidding, when Berek saw it this evening he said something along the lines of "holy shit". We can barely fit the dresser into the bedroom and the door has about 4 inches between it and the bed. But, I will admit, it seems very comfy. It's also very high off of the ground. I want to get steps to get into it cause my 5'5" frame has a hard time climbing onto it. Our alarm clock is now about two feet below the bed. I need a taller nightstand. Once the bed finally got all set up Rob and I made plans with Berek and his brother Ben and hopped into the shower. Berek and Ben came over around 9:30pm and we headed to the 24 hour IHOP on Sunset Blvd. We grabbed foodies there and then headed to the Pleasure Chest (porn store) in West Hollywood. Berek got some buttons for a coat of his. Rob and I got some ... other things. After our trek for porn we all headed to the Pig (a coffee house) and grabbed nothing resembling coffee. Ben got a chocolate shake, Berek and I got Iced Chai's, and Rob got an Iced Thai. After the Pig the Marcus brothers dropped us back off at home. Thought I should log on and write about the big ass bed. Our bedroom is now truely a BEDroom. The room is full of a bed. Anyway, speaking of bed, I should be heading off. I have to get up tomorrow (today?) and take Sydney to the vet for his annual checkup. Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
