Yellow Knight

Mood:
Happy

One more day until school starts. Luckily, today I had a blast.

Rob and I slept in pretty late today (until around 2:30pm) and then gave Berek a call to see if he was up for getting together. He was kind of sick, but felt like getting out of the house.

So, he came over and we all headed to the Buena Park area and went to the Medieval Times. Berek and I had never been to one of those before. Rob had and he said it was pretty cool. It totally rocked.

We skipped having our pictures taken (I have issues with that - those who saw my MPRE photo now realize just how pictures of me end up turning out) on the way in. We were seated down in front with an excellent view of the show. We were in the yellow section, and like the other yellow lemmings, we rooted for the yellow knight. We had considered rooting for another color just to be difficult, but it was hard not to get into the spirit of things when we had a fanatic section. Dinner wasn't too bad, however they don't give you any silverware, and you only get one napkin. We had to drink our soup straight from a bowl. And dinner was chicken and a rib. It was very difficult to eat the chicken with no fork and very messy. I ended up needing to use Rob's napkin quite a few times. The food was surprisingly good. That is, it was good when eaten. It was annoying when someone behind us decided to throw their food into the arena because it all landed on me. Needless to say, I was not happy about that. Whoever threw it is very lucky to have been anonymous. I believe I would have had to take thier arm home as a souvenier had I known who dumped their chicken bones on my head and lap.

After the show (our knight was killed) we checked out the gift shop. Rob got me a stuffed dragon and a little flag for the yellow knight. Berek drooled over the swords, knives, and axes.

After leaving the place we headed back to my place. As you can tell by the time stamp on this, it's not super late (for a Saturday evening anyway), but Berek's illness had taken a turn for the worse so we came home and he's heading back to his place for some much needed medication and rest. It's probably a good thing we didn't stay out until the wee hours of the morning though, because I still have a lot of reading to get done for school.

So, today was very fun and I'm very happy. Now, I just need to have a fun day tomorrow. Because Monday I have to get up ass early and start the whole school thing again. Which means tomorrow is the last day I like life. As of Monday morning around 5am, I'll begin praying for death once again.
