Let's All Go To The Lobby...

Mood:
Nauseous

This turned out to be the weekend of movies. And a fun weekend at that.

As said in my last entry, Friday night Rob, Berek and I saw Office Space at the Nuart.

Saturday day Rob and I slept in. We both needed the sleep. And at night we headed out to Citywalk and saw "Feardotcom". A very bizzare and very good film. The grittiness reminded me of "Seven" and the weirdness reminded me of parts of the recent remake of "House on Haunted Hill". Rob and I both liked the movie, though it was really creepy. I don't think my Mom should ever see it though. She'd never go on the internet again. Especially since she has a possessed black iMac. Damn creepy computer. It likes to turn itself on and off, randomly glow green (while off), and say things that Macs are not programmed to say. Rob knows a few things about computers and after seeing it he agreed that it was possessed. It also once turned on during a thunderstorm when all of the power was out. Damn possessed iMac.

Anyway, the movie last night was good and Rob and I hit Shanghai and Mein for Chinese food after the film. We then wandered around Citywalk for awhile. We stopped in Sam Goody and got a few DVDs. He bought "Lord of the Rings" and I bought "Queen of the Damned" and a four pack of bad "B" films called "Hotter Than Hell". Four bad movies for ten bucks, can't beat that. We also got a duck puppet at the plush toy store there. Our new "car puppet". It's something for the passenger in my car to play around with. What can I say, Rob and I are warped.

Today Rob, Berek, and I headed out to Ontario Mills. We brought the duck puppet with us and scared some people in other cars. Hehehe. We ended up grabbing foodies at the Rainforest Cafe. I love that place. They have the greatest caesar salad wrap. We then headed to Dave & Busters. Rob and Berek wanted to play a game in the Battletech pods. I waited around for them. I'm not too into that sort of thing, but I was more than willing to hang out while they played. After the mall we headed to the movie theatre to see "One Hour Photo". That film was incredible! I've never seen Robin Williams play serious and creepy before (didn't get a chance to see "Insomnia" in the theatre) and he blew me away. It's one of the better films out there right now and probably even one of the best ones I've seen this year. I highly recommend it.

And now I'm back at home. I had Berek drop us off right after getting back from Ontario cause I'm not feeling all too well. I have some lingering sick in me and solid food isn't the worlds best idea. Blah.

Okay, this is too weird. Amber was bucking at the balcony so Rob went to see if another squirrel was out there. He turned on the light and saw a racoon on there! It ran off when the light came on, but it looks like we have a racoon to add to the list of animals who come for food and water on the balcony. We have all sorts of birds (including some creepy birdzillas that are the size of the cats - we still haven't been able to find out what species they are), squirrels, a chipmunk or two, and now a racoon. Just as long as we don't end up with skunks it's all good. Looks like we're the new neighborhood diner for wildlife.
