2002-09-14 3:49 AM Friday The 13th Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Tired Today was a relatively good Friday the 13th.
I got up early this morning and Lisa picked me up and we headed for a girl's day out. We went to lunch at Applebee's. I've only been there once before and that was a /long/ time ago. That place is pretty good and thay have great club sandwiches. I'll have to remember to check it out more often if there's one in my area. We then went to the outlet mall in Camarillo. I love that place. So much neat stuff for decent prices. After that we headed to the Northridge mall and then she dropped me back off at my place. I think our day out took about 8 hours total. She picked me up around 10am and I got back home around 6pm. I'm so glad we hung out today. I don't get to see her enough now that she's not in the Valley anymore and we had a lot of catching up to do. And with some of the things going on right now, we both just needed some time to talk and to vent. When I got home Rob had just gotten back from work and we were both tired so we passed out for a few hours. I woke back up around 9pm and jumped into the shower for the second time today because I felt scuzzy from shopping around today in the heat. Berek picked us up around 10:30pm and we headed to the Nuart theatre for a midnight showing of "The Lost Boys". I was feeling very tired and a little under the weather, but I /had/ to go. That's probably my favorite movie and I will not ever pass up a chance to see it on the big screen. I'm so glad I went. It was fun and there were a few people from the film in the audience. Jamison Newlander, the actor who played "Alan Frog" announced the movie. It was a great experience and we all had fun. Even though I'm dead tired I decided to log on before going to bed because I wanted to check my e-mail account. Even though summer school is over with, Pepperdine has not decided to post the grade distribution for the summer session. I was curious about how my grade in Legal Ethics was compared to the others (I know 93 is good, but I was curious about the higest grade) so yesterday I e-mailed the Prof about it. I wanted to see the reply. I'm very glad I decided to forgo a little bit of sleep. The high grade was 93. So, there's a really good chance that I'll be getting another one of those awards for having the higest grade in the class. I swear, I should have been doing law school only in the summers. It would have done wonders for my GPA. Anyway, we'll see what happens. If I do get another one of those awards, I'll sure as hell post about it in here. I so hope I do. My resume needs all the help it can get and I need all the help I can get trying to find a job for after graduation! Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
